Cops say a man fired from his job beheaded a woman with and attacked another coworker when he was shot and wounded by the owner of the company!
Moore Police Department Sgt. Jeremy Lewis told media that the suspect, Alton Noen, stabbed Colleen Hufford, 54, severing her head in attack at Vaughan Foods, a food processing center in Moore, Oklahoma.
Cops say Nolen then stabbed Traci Johnson, 43, multiple times before being stopped with bullets fired by Mark Vaughan, the company’s owner, who is also a reserve sheriff’s deputy.
“This was not going to stop if he didn’t stop it. It could have gotten a lot worse,” Sgt. Lewis said.
“This suspect was angry about some sort of incident that happened at the business,” Sgt. Lewis said. “These women really had nothing to do with that. He was just acting out against them. They are the first people he came in contact with.”
Both the stabbing vic and the suspect Nolen were hospitalized and in stable condition Friday, Lewis said.
The FBI have been called in after local media reported claims saying that Noen had allegedly been attempting to convert coworkers to Islam and that was the reason for his firing.
Nolen’s rap sheet includes arrests for possession of a controlled substance, assault and battery on a police officer, and escape from lockup.
No stranger to tragedy last year, Moore, Ok. was leveled by a major tornado that left 24 dead and many of the city’s 57,000 residents in dire straits.
