A jury has rendered a guilty verdict in the death of ‘American Sniper’ author Navy SEAL CHRIS KYLE and his pal at a shooting range.

AP reported that jurors returned the grim-faced verdict late Tuesday against Eddie Ray Routh.

His lawyers had mounted an insanity defense, saying he suffered from psychosis.

Since prosecutors didn’t seek the death penalty, the 27-year-old received an automatic life sentence without parole in the dual murders deaths of the Kyle and his pal Chad Littlefield.

In Feb. 2013 after Routh’s mother asked Kyle to help him, they had taken Routh out shooting.

His family claimed that Routh suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder after serving tours in Iraq and in Haiti.

Routh shot both Kyle and Littlefield.

The murder case drew intense media scrutiny because of the recent blockbuster film based on Kyle’s memoir about his four Iraq tours.
