It’s hush-hush, but a major backstage battle’s raging at smash-hit “Dancing with the Stars” between DONNY OSMOND and choreographer/ partner KYM JOHNSON – who wants Mr. Goody-Two-Shoes to get sexy and prove his boast that he’s “a little bit rock n’ roll” by ripping off his shirt and exposing his man-mammaries!
Said an insider: “Donny hates the idea. He’s lived his entire life as a strict Mormon, and he put his foot down hard when it came to taking off his shirt. He’s even pulled the plug on hot dance moves Kym choreographed, and she’s very upset. She thinks he’s jeopardizing their chances to win because other contestants keep upping the ante with sexier, more eyecatching moves.”
When the dueling duo were interviewed by an LA news show, Kym was asked about Donny’s costume, and impishly replied: “The leather pants he’s going to wear? And the no-shirt thing?”
Snapped unamused Donny: “Leather pants and no shirt?... That just makes me sick.”
Prude Dude’s appealed the dispute to producers, but they say he needs to work it out with Kym, so…stay tuned.
(Interesting to note that Donny’s sis, MARIE OSMOND, also a devout Mormon, NEVER ONCE appeared shirtless during her “Dancing” stint.)
