CHRISTINA AXES PITY PARTY

CHRISTINA APPLEGATE knew her first day back on the “Samantha Who?” set after her double mastectomy was certain to be emotional, so she made firm ground rules in advance, telling co-stars JEAN SMART, JENNIFER ESPOSITO, BARRY WATSON and everyone else: Get all the hugs, kisses and well-wishes out of the way in a one-day Pity Party – no cake or flowers, please! – then it’s back to business as usual.

“Christina just hated the thought of everyone looking at her differently and says she can’t work under those conditions,” said a friend. “She doesn’t want to be hard-hearted about the love she gets, but she’s trying to move forward.”
