CHRISTIAN BALE: JEALOUS OF HEATH?

Everybody’s buzzing about the new “Batman” curse – HEATH LEDGER dead, MORGAN FREEMAN hospitalized by a car crash, CHRISTIAN BALE busted after the London premiere for allegedly assaulting his mother and sister – but Bale feels especially cursed because his star turn in megahit “Dark Knight” has been totally overshadowed by Ledger’s tragic death from drugs!

Said a pal: “Christian’s been more than gallant in praising Heath while promoting the film – but privately he’s telling close friends he laments that the film has turned into more of a wake for Ledger than a career-building blockbuster for him. Christian believes he gave the best performance of his life in ‘Dark Knight’ – but no one’s going to notice!”
