MARTIN SHORT has bounced back from his ill-fated role in the suicide of dermatologist to the stars Dr. Fredric Brandt.
The comic was devastated, friends said, after Fredric’s publicist said his death on April 5 was partly triggered by comparisons to Martin’s character on Tina Fey’s Netflix show, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.”
But the funnyman, 65, and longtime pal Steve Martin were all smiles while performing their show, “Steve Martin and Martin Short in a Very Stupid Conversation,” on April 25 at the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, Mich.
“They both looked like they were having a grand ol’ time. The show moved right along and the crowd loved it,” said our spy, adding that Short enjoyed dressing as a woman!
The comics concluded their sold-out show with an encore that they joked was “contractually obligated.”
