With her beloved home for sale, disgraced TV chef PAULA DEEN is setting the stage for a $100 million divorce, sources told The National ENQUIRER.
The former Food Network star’s marriage to tugboat captain Michael Groover has been on the rocks since a racist scandal destroyed her business empire, insiders said.
“Paula wants to make a clean break,” said a family friend.
“That’s why she’s put the property on the block for $12.5 million. There are a lot of good memories there, but she wants to start over again,” said a source close to the couple.
Paula, 68, married Michael, 59, in March 2004. They have no prenup, according to insiders.
Another source added: “Paula is starting to liquidate some assets.”
As The ENQUIRER reported in 2013, the marriage had been on shaky ground due to Paula’s racial scandal.
“Michael was furious to be dragged into the mess, and the marriage never recovered,” said the source.
