Manned space flight suffers another tragic loss as VIRGIN GALACTIC space craft crashes in the Mojave desert, killing the pilot – reports.
The Galactic's SpaceShipTwo space tourism rocket crashed during a test flight.
The world's first commercial rocket plane experienced an "in-flight anomaly," according to the offical Twitter page
Witnesses described the craft as exploding. Reportedly, the pilot has perished and one other person is injured.
Rescue crews carrying one person from the scene on a stretcher to an awaiting helicopter, eyewitnesses said.
KGET-TV reported one patient was taken to Lancaster, Ca. for treatment.
As The ENQUIRER reported previously, Virgin Galactic has being ballyhooing the sales of trips aboard SpaceShipTwo for years. The vehicle would lift-off passengers about 62 miles above Earth — the edge of outer space. The voyage would have allowed them to thrill to a few minutes of weightlessness before descending to ground.

Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic reports say they have recived deposits totaling more than $80 million from about 700 people.
