"WHEN IS JIHAD APPROPRIATE?" THE FORT HOOD SECRET E-MAILS


In an e-mail the Fort Hood shooter told a radical cleric, a top al-Qaeda recruiter, "I can't wait to join you in the after life."

ABC News reports that according to a US top intelligence official 18 emails where exchanged between crazed gunman Army Major Nidal Hassan and cleric Anwar al Awalki in the last six months.

"It sounds like code words," Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer, a military analyst at the Center for Advanced Defense Studies revealed.
 
Other messages, the official with access to the e-mails revealed, included  "when is jihad appropriate", and whether it is permissible if there are innocents killed in a suicide attack.

"Hasan told Awlaki he couldn't wait to join him in the discussions they would having over non-alcoholic wine in the afterlife," the intelligence official divulged.
