Teen beat sensations The Jonas Brothers and Britney Spears have been nominated for MTV Video Music Awards.

After last years stinkeroo perf Brit is nominated for "Piece of Me" that spoofed her declining rep as Queen of the Tabs.

Jonas Bros "Burning Up" Chris Brown for "Forever", prefab femme faves Pussycat Dolls for "When I Grow Up" and newbies The Ting Tings for "Shut Up and Let Me Go."

Other noms announced were Fall Out Boy, Paramore, Slipknot, Linkin Park and Foo Fighters for best rock vids.

Brit's nom is the third from LP Blackout - neither the album nor song were significant hits.

Earlier fans nominated her for best pop video and best fem vid both for "Piece of Me".

Speculation is rife that the rebounder will perform live during the awards despite her onstage crash -and - burn last year.
